The family that travels together…

…stays together :)

Yes, I’m kind of feeling a little homesick right now… It’s been quite a while since the last time I’ve had a video chat with my ermat, my sis, my nephews and nieces. :/ Puro messages na lang via Facebook! Oh the problem with time zone difference!

So here I am, browsing some old pics, of old travel memories…

2009 – Probably the oldest travel memory that’s been documented through a digicam… All other past trips were either on photo paper or not documented at all… :) During this year, we spent our Christmas day at Ozamis City (my parents’ hometown) while the next two days, we did a road trip in Northern Mindanao… :)

My nieces and nephews, and Bravo (my uncle’s Horse)… Copra—our family’s source of living :)

Went to visit my uncle’s house at this place we all call as “Bukid”, located at Manaka, Ozamis. I remember the hassle we felt when we used to visit this place during my childhood; because Bukid is a little far from the city, we had to walk a long mile. But during our visit in 2009, the road’s mostly paved, and our multicab made it up until my uncle’s house….so wala nang lakad moments :)

Up: With my nephews, nieces and cousins, with Milagring (my uncle’s carabao)… Down: My brother-in-law (as Milagring hahaha!) pulling the cart…

We just simply enjoyed the Bukid-way-of-living… Simple but full of fun!

And I remember the Northern Mindanao Roadtrip that we had after Christmas… (Click here for the related post)

Mindanao Roadtrip 2009

2010 – It was during this year that I decided to treat them all for a trip to Manila… Oh well, thanks to Cebu Pacific for the promo tix—like getting 11 roundtrip (Zamboanga-Manila) tix for just around Php1,700!!! :D That was awesome! :) Most of them were first timers, so probably they enjoyed the trip…

Tamang tambay at Mall of Asia :)

We didn’t have plans to go out of the city, so I brought them to Mall of Asia… hahaha! and the kids enjoyed it… Sila naman ang importante eh! :D After MOA, I brought them to Manila Ocean Park where they enjoyed the Oceanarium (I didn’t have copies of the pics from my sis’ camera).

And at night, we watched the musical fountain show…I got the tix at a discount through vouchers hehehe! Thank you!! :D

And the rest of the days in Manila were spent at tsangge (Baclaran and Greenhills); shopping and foodtripping… :D

2011 – Oh well, we were stuck in Zamboanga during this year… But we went out for an overnight trip at one resort in Cabaluay, which is called Virnell Farm and Mountain Park. The place is about 17 km from downtown Zamboanga and an additional 4 km from the national highway.

One of the amenities of the park: pools for adults, for kids and a private one used only by those occupying the big house at the back part of the resort.

Videoke Stall and Rooms for Overnight Stay…

We made use of one of the videoke stalls, not far from the pools. Enjoyed singing with my siblings and neighbors (haha! Yes, may kasama kaming mga kapitbahay! =p), and of course enjoyed eating lechon!!! :D

There are other activities around the park such as caving hehehe! The cave’s just a fifteen-minute walk away from the main resort…

And horseback-riding and zipling; both I didn’t try though. hehehe! I just didn’t feel like horseback-riding. Much more ziplining upon seeing the kind of zipline that they have hahaha! scary! :D parang buwis-buhay eh! Parang and stopper ay puno ng niyog, walang bantay sa dulo! Haha! =p

2012 – Did a CebuBohol again, but this time with my family. This was a special request from my Ermat, who wanted to set foot at Cebu and Bohol. So during my homecoming in August 2012 (from Indonesia), and just in time for my ermat’s birthday, all of us (except for our eldest bro, who opted to stay in Zambo), went for the 3D3N trip!

I guess, this wouldn’t be on my family’s list, considering there are kids, hassle sa hiking! haha! :)

Hayyy I’m so stoked for September!!!! 5 months to go!!! :D By then, malalagyan na ng mukha yang mga lugar na yan! :D But for now, imagine imagine na lang muna…
