Bohol 2012 --click on image for a full view :)

Yes, I’m kind of feeling a little homesick right now… It’s been quite a while since the last time I’ve had a video chat with my ermat, my sis, my nephews and nieces. :/ Puro messages na lang via Facebook! Oh the problem with time zone difference!

So here I am, browsing some old pics, of old travel memories…

DIY: Part 2 of 3_MisAdventures in Bohol
Day 2 started with a complimentary breakfast at Amorita Resort. Plan: Make ourselves full to last the entire day! hahaha! We ate almost every bit of what’s served on the table, libre na eh! haha patay-gutom lang! :D Original plan for Day 2 was to go to Danao and experience the extreme activities, but it was just too far from Panglao that I (kase ako taga-decide eh! haha!) decided to change the plan. Plan B, roam around Bohol and see those tourist spots that were supposed to be visited in Day 1 :). >>>READ FULL ARTICLE>>>

Semirara Island Invasion: The Unong Lake that I Love

Semirara Island Invasion: The Unong Lake that I Love
Being a field auditor gave me the opportunity to do out-of-town fieldwork; and one of the out-of-Manila clients that I’ve had is located in Semirara Island in Caluya, Antique. As mentioned in my previous post about Semirara, the island is the largest source of coal in the Philippines. But I’m not going to talk about my former client’s business as this blog post isn’t part of my Understanding the Business procedure hahaha! I’d just like to share my experience in this island and how this Unong Lake has captured my heart! Chos! :)

DIY: Half-day Unguided Cebu City Tour

DIY: Half-day Unguided Cebu City Tour
I was just invited by Jack to accompany her to Bohol, because she won the Panglao Trip for Two during our company’s 65th anniversary last August. Being a kaladkarin, agad-agad naman akong pumayag! ehehe! libreng trip na yun eh! @_@ Nahiya naman ako di ba, so I was the one who made all the arrangements, (i.e., finalizing the date of the trip, getting our flight sched and all, coming up with an itinerary—kase yung free lang talaga sa prize na yun ay tix and accommodation at Panglao).

Semirara Island Invasion: LIFE SA BEACH!

Tambak Beach | Semirara Island, Antique, Philippines
One of the best things that I enjoy about my job is to do fieldwork outside Manila, and I’m lucky to have had a client with its main accounting department located in an island! It’s actually a coal mining company located in the island of Semirara in Caluya, Antique (somewhere in Visayas na po ‘to for those who do not know the place; it’s near Capiz, near Mindoro, or better yet, near Boracay!).

CORON: Island Hopping and Snorkeling Even if it’s Raining!

CORON: Island Hopping and Snorkeling Even if it’s Raining!
…And the heavens didn’t seem to care about our excitement for this trip! Tsk tsk tsk! Day 2 at Coron—the weather got worse. The rain didn’t stop since it started pouring at around 3 in the morning, demet! You know, it’s kind of frustrating knowing that the island hopping thing might not push through due to the strong waves and things like that! Hmm but no, nothing can stop us from executing the Day 2 activities!!! hehehe! :D …and so we begin the journey…

CORON: Hiking to Mt. Tapyas and Dipping into the Maquinit Hotspring

CORON: Hiking to Mt. Tapyas and Dipping into the Maquinit Hotspring
It was a 30-minute ride from the airport to Coron town proper and the weather was gloomy that day :( We were worried that we might not be able to carry on with our Day1 activities (especially hiking!); but thank goodness, we’re still able to stick with the itinerary! :)

CORON 101: The Tour Package, Itinerary, Accommodation and Contact Persons

It has been a yearly tradition of my office batchmates/tropa to go on out-of-Manila trips after the toxic busy season, and for 2011, Coron’s first in our list. Right after busy season, we availed of the promos of different airline companies and booked our August-trip to Coron. After booking, we searched over the net for affordable packages for 3 days and 2 nights (3D2N) and below was our choice.
