2017: A Year-end Review

2017 YE 14

It’s that time of the year again – time to look back on what actually happened to my so-called life during the last 12 months or so. Travel-wise, it was a mix of visiting new places and revisiting old ones—either way, we managed to create new and happy memories. On a more personal aspect, there’s too much adult-ing towards the latter part of the year!

2015/2016: PhilTrip – A homecoming with a Plus 1

It was nearly the end of 2015 and what better way to end it than to go back home for the Christmas holidays! Ok, I did not originally plan to be home in December 2015 because (1) I already went home in April that year, and (2) going home in December is a little bit expensive due to more expensive flights and because it’s a time of festivities and meetups and what have you.

2016: A Year-end Review

10_2016 - Machu Picchu

There wasn’t a “16for2016” (i.e., 16 countries in year 2016), which could have been the third following from my 14for2014 and 15for2015 projects in the last 2 years. Nonetheless, this year I managed to step on 4 continents (Phil did 5 though, because America!)—which is why I think 2016 is equally awesome as the previous years!

2015 Family Adventure: From South to North!

‘cause they’re the backbone of my existence; my strong support group. They are the constant reason that makes me nostalgic and melancholic while working my ass heart out and simultaneously daydreaming about traveling and seeing the rest of the world. While I have the means and opportunity to somehow feed my wanderlust, they don’t. And therefore, I made a silent promise to myself that as long as I can afford to, I want them to experience a part of my life—a life that I embraced while I was away from them. I wanted them to see and experience the places which I believe are beautiful and which I believe they would love to see and experience for themselves!

Yes, I’m kind of feeling a little homesick right now… It’s been quite a while since the last time I’ve had a video chat with my ermat, my sis, my nephews and nieces. :/ Puro messages na lang via Facebook! Oh the problem with time zone difference!

So here I am, browsing some old pics, of old travel memories…

Camiguin (Part 2 of 2): Two Islands, A Waterfall and Our Sun-kissed Skin

White Island, Camiguin, Philippines ---Click on image for a full view :)

Our itinerary for Day 2 in Camiguin included island-hopping and visiting a waterfall, and I thought it would be the most hassling experience in my swimming life (may swimming life tlaga ako oh?! Hahaha!) ever! Imagine waking up so early to prepare for the island-hopping, and getting a first reaction of “Sh*t meron na’ko!”… Tsk tsk! (First time ko kase mag-swimming na may period, at first day pa! hahaha! wala lang sa timing kaya naha-hassle-lan ako!). Pero kineri pa din! :D

Days 2 and 3 of our 4D3N CDO-Bukidnon-Camiguin Trip were spent in Camiguin. Click CDO-Bukidnon-Camiguin 2012 Itinerary to download the actual itinerary of this trip. :)

Me, Myself, My Backpack, and Western/Northern Mindanao!

Me, Myself, My Backpack, and Western/Northern Mindanao!
Here’s a list of why I planned for this solo bus trip:
• I want to prove to the universe that Mindanao’s a safe place to visit… lalalala! Well at least at this part Western/Northern Mindanao. I want to be able to give a clear answer to those people who always ask me if it’s safe to travel in Mindanao. :)
• I want to have a feel of a solo backpacker hahaha! I want to personally find out for myself whether solo traveling is fun or not! :D
• I want to know how much it would cost to go to CDO from Zamboanga and vice versa, and how long the travel actually takes.
• I had a sidetrip plan at the back of my mind (Iligan or Dipolog, wherever my heart and my itchy feet feel like going) >>>READ FULL ARTICLE>>>
