To Check-in or To Hand-carry?

I’m used to carrying a backpack with a small trolley, every time I go home to my hometown for 1-2 weeks of vacation. My recent homecoming was a bit challenging though, having to come from abroad (oh yes! Isa na’kong dakilang OFW! haha!), I am expected to bring home a lot of those pasalubongs! During my last homecoming, I was carrying with me my trolley, backpack and sling bag (for my camera and some chocs)! >>>READ FULL ARTICLE>>>

I happened to browse through my old folders, while I was trying to make up my mind as to which travel adventure to post in this not-so-updated blog [past travels? recent travels? ughh! Dami ko pang dapat na habuling blogposts!]. Anyway, back to my browsing through old folders now—and so I saw this folder on my biglaang-trip to Malaysia, way back 2010.

BAGUIO: Three Summertimes in the City of Pines!

Mines View Park --click on image for a full view :)
One of my childhood dreams WAS to visit the famous Baguio City. I don’t know, but the place WAS overly commercialized that I really would want to see it for myself hehehe! Until one day, after my second busy season (that was June of 2007), my office batchmates planned for a trip to Baguio. I was not that close to them yet at that time, so I hesitated at first. But because I so wanted to see Baguio, I accepted the invitation the day before the trip—and invited also one of my closest friends in the office, so I won’t feel out-of-place hehehe! >>>READ FULL ARTICLE>>>

2010 Lakaw sa Davao (3 of 3): Rafting Davao River and Zip-lining at Zip City

RAFTING DAVAO RIVER

The rafting adventure was included in our itinerary, but it has a separate fee. The activity was organized by River One Adventure, (now known as Base Camp)–you may click here to visit their site (I’m not sure if they got an updated site ’cause it hasn’t been updated in years already, but the latest comment mentioned about River One changing its name to Base Camp). >>>READ FULL ARTICLE>>>

2010 Lakaw sa Davao (1 of 3): City Tour

It was my first (and only) trip to this part of Mindanao, though I’m a Mindanaoan myself hehehe! Anyway, we’ve booked our flight to Davao just for the sake of not letting the chance of getting a promo ticket pass us by (biglaang pagbu-book ulit! ehehe!) . We had a travel agent who arranged our itinerary and accommodation, but I wouldn’t want to recommend that agency—kase maraming aberya! :D >>>READ FULL ARTICLE>>>

Turn the page or close the journal?

Journal. Diary. Grievance notebook. Whatever you call it! Today marks the 6th year of this little thing that I bought after my first audit season in 2006—that was June 19, 2006 to be exact! No, this isn’t my first journal, but yes this is the only journal that hasn’t been filled with whatever nonsense that I could have written within those 6 years! :) >>>READ FULL ARTICLE>>>

2009 Northern Mindanao Roadtrip with Family

I regard this trip as “the-much-needed break” for 2009!!! Hehehe not because it was Christmas season, but because it was during this time that I got my heart badly broken! awts! :D Anyway, during this Christmas vacation, my family opted to celebrate it in my parents’ hometown, in Ozamis City. Having booked a Manila-Zamboanga trip months before, I had to re-route my trip to Ozamis City! Pero ayus lang, basta for the family! :) >>>READ FULL ARTICLE>>>

DIY: Part 2 of 3_MisAdventures in Bohol

DIY: Part 2 of 3_MisAdventures in Bohol
Day 2 started with a complimentary breakfast at Amorita Resort. Plan: Make ourselves full to last the entire day! hahaha! We ate almost every bit of what’s served on the table, libre na eh! haha patay-gutom lang! :D Original plan for Day 2 was to go to Danao and experience the extreme activities, but it was just too far from Panglao that I (kase ako taga-decide eh! haha!) decided to change the plan. Plan B, roam around Bohol and see those tourist spots that were supposed to be visited in Day 1 :). >>>READ FULL ARTICLE>>>
